Weekly Update - August 107, 2026
Hello HVMB families! We’re settling into our regular rehearsal schedule at Lakeland and continuing to build toward a great season. Please review this week’s schedule and reminders below.
📅 Week of August 17 Schedule
Monday, August 17 | 5:00–9:00 PM — Rehearsal at LHS
Wednesday, August 19 | 5:00–9:00 PM — Rehearsal at LHS
Wednesday, August 19 | 7:00 PM — Prop Meeting at the Lakeland Band Shed
Anyone interested in helping with props this season is welcome to attend. Please park in the lower student lot and walk up to the band room area.
Friday, August 21 — Show Shirt Voting Closes
Student voting for the 2026 show shirt design ends at midnight.
🎨 Show Shirt Design Voting
The student-designed show shirt contest is underway, and voting is now open for HVMB members.
Voting closes Friday, August 21 at midnight. The winning designer will receive a free show shirt!
🙋 Volunteer Opportunity – Concert in the Park
We still need a few volunteers for upcoming parking donation fundraisers during the Concert in the Park series.

🎪 Save the Date – Huron Valley Invitational (HVI)
Our annual Huron Valley Invitational will be held on:

As a reminder, each HVMB family is expected to provide at least one volunteer for this event as part of the season volunteer commitment. Volunteer shifts will be posted in BoosterHub once the event schedule is finalized.
🏟️ Battle at the Big House – Saturday, August 29
HVMB will join the Milford Mavericks at Michigan Stadium as Milford takes on Birmingham Seaholm.
Student Information
🕘 Report Time: 9:00 AM at Lakeland High School
👕 Uniform:
- Black HVMB performance shirt
- Black or gray shorts
- Athletic shoes
🚌 Transportation will be provided to and from the event.
🏈 Game Time: 12:00 PM
📍 Michigan Stadium ("The Big House"), Ann Arbor
🕔 Estimated return to Lakeland: Approximately 5:00 PM
