It’s a busy performance week for HVMB! In addition to our regular rehearsals, Winds and Battery will perform for Huron Valley Schools staff on Tuesday morning, and the full band heads to the Big House on Saturday to support the Milford Mavericks.

Winds and Battery are required. Front Ensemble may participate on cymbals, and Guard is welcome to attend.

Wednesday, August 26 | 5:00–9:00 PM — Rehearsal at LHS

Thursday, August 27 — Concert in the Park Fundraiser

Volunteers are still needed for our final Concert in the Park parking donation event.

Saturday, August 29 | 9:00 AM Report — Battle at the Big House

HVMB joins the Milford Mavericks at Michigan Stadium! Game time is noon, with an estimated return to LHS around 5:00 PM.

HVS Opening Day Performance

Winds and Battery will perform at the Huron Valley Schools Staff Opening Day on Tuesday morning. This is a quick but important opportunity to showcase HVMB for HVS staff.

Report: 7:15 AM at Milford High School

Students should bring their instruments home from Monday’s rehearsal at Lakeland, bring them to Milford Tuesday morning, and then bring them back to Lakeland for Wednesday’s rehearsal.

🏟️ Battle at the Big House – Saturday, August 29

HVMB is headed to Michigan Stadium to join the Milford Mavericks, cheer and poms as Milford takes on Birmingham Seaholm!

9:00 AM — Report to LHS Band Room

12:00 PM — Game at Michigan Stadium

~5:00 PM — Estimated return to LHS

Student Uniform: Black HVMB performance shirt, black or gray shorts, and neat athletic shoes.

Students will be transported to and from Ann Arbor by bus. Students leaving with family after the game must have a completed Student Release Form and must check out with an HVMB chaperone before leaving.

Tickets & Spectator Information

Athletics has begun notifying families that pre-ordered tickets can be picked up at the Milford High School Athletic Office this week between 8:00 AM–3:00 PM. Payment is by cash or check to Milford Athletics.

💵 Football Mania Fundraiser

The deadline for the Football Mania fundraiser is Friday, September 4.

Each student is required to sell their five assigned tickets and return payment as cash or one check payable to Milford Band Parents to the Red Box at the Lakeland Band Room.

Students can also continue selling beyond their required five tickets. Each additional paper or online ticket sold earns $10 toward the student’s band account.

🙋 Final Concert in the Park – Volunteers Needed

Our final Concert in the Park parking donation fundraiser is Thursday, August 27, and a few additional volunteers are still needed.

🛏️ 3rd Annual HVMB Mattress Fundraiser

Sunday, September 20 | 11:00 AM–4:00 PM

Milford High School

Help spread the word about our annual Mattress Fundraiser! A portion of every sale benefits the marching band, and families can help make the event successful simply by sharing the event and promotional materials with friends, family and the community.

The sale will feature a variety of mattress brands and models, manufacturer warranties, below-retail pricing and financing options.

🎪 Save the Date – Huron Valley Invitational

Saturday, September 26 | Lakeland High School

HVMB will host our annual Huron Valley Invitational (HVI) for area marching bands. This is an all-day event and one of our biggest volunteer efforts of the season.

Every HVMB family is expected to have at least one representative work a shift as part of the season volunteer commitment.

Volunteer opportunities will be posted in BoosterHub once the event schedule is finalized.
