Weekly Update - September 7, 2026
t’s a shorter rehearsal week, but there are several important reminders as we get closer to our competition season. Please review the uniform information below, and don’t forget that Saturday is a full-day rehearsal!
📅 This Week’s Schedule
Wednesday, September 9 | 5:30–9:00 PM — Rehearsal at LHS
Saturday, September 12 | 9:00 AM–5:00 PM — Rehearsal at LHS
Students should bring a lunch. This will be a closed-campus lunch.
👕 Uniform Return, Reissue & Dinkles
If your student still has any uniform pieces at home from a previous season, please bring them to rehearsal this week. This includes the blue/red shirts and any other uniform parts. Items need to be returned so they can be inventoried and reissued for this season.
Students who have not yet been sized for uniforms will be fitted during Saturday’s rehearsal.
All students will also need Dinkles (black marching shoes). We have a large inventory of gently used Dinkles available to students at no charge.
New Dinkles may also be purchased for $40 by contacting Treasurer Jessica Leja.
💵 Football Mania – Tickets & Payments Due
Thank you to everyone who participated in Football Mania and helped make this year’s fundraiser a success!
The primary selling period has ended, and all paper ticket stubs, payments and unused tickets should now be returned to the Red Box in the Lakeland Band Room.
Please remember:
- Tickets and payments must be submitted for purchased tickets to be activated and eligible for prizes.
- Weekly winner announcements will begin after the season starts September 10.
- Families who did not submit payment for five tickets or sell at least five tickets online will be subject to the $70 fundraising opt-out fee.
🛏️ 3rd Annual HVMB Mattress Fundraiser

Even if you aren’t in the market for a new mattress, you can help make the fundraiser a success by spreading the word! Share the event and promotional materials with friends, family and the community to help connect us with people who are ready for a new mattress.

🎪 Save the Date – Huron Valley Invitational
Saturday, September 26 | Lakeland High School
Our annual Huron Valley Invitational (HVI) brings area marching bands to Lakeland for a full day of competition.
As a reminder, every HVMB family is expected to have at least one representative work a shift as part of the season volunteer commitment.
Volunteer shifts will be posted in BoosterHub once the event schedule is finalized.
